Praying for Beth and her husband

Beth

On May 1st, I blogged concerning depression and Elijah's response. Beth responded by saying that her busband was struggling with depression. Let me respond to Beth today.

I want you to know, Beth, that we are praying for you and your husband. Being a constant, daily care-giver can be draining. I encourage you to find a support system of your own - and keep coming to church - a place where people love and care about you both!

Peter writes, that "we are to cast all of our cares and anxieties upon Him becasue He cares for us so much!" I Peter 5:7

We will keep Beth and her husband in our prayers as well. Keep pushing toward the goal, even when you're exhausted. I know it's hard when you love someone to see them go through this, and also to have to "tend" to them as well. We love you both very much and just ask that you stay with us in any instance that you can. Small group, men's group for him, even to just hanging out when you need to get away. Come see us and let us "tend" to your needs as well. And, you're doing absolutely the right thing in keeping yourself in church...the enemy will do his best to keep you out. We'll continue to encourage your husband and try to support him as he fights for his freedom from the enemy and depression...he is worthy in the eyes of the Lord! Ultimately, no other opinion is as great as that one, that God sacrificed His Son for your husband...your husband was the treasure in the field, the pearl of great value, that Jesus sought and gave all for through His crucifiction. Hold tight to that, and help your husband to hold tight to it as well. God finds him worthy to be redeemed! God finds him worthy to be loved! God finds him worthy! Praise God from whom all blessings flow and claim victory against this disorder.

We pray a hedge of protection around you both today, a hedge that the enemy cannot penetrate with his lies and deceptions. We pray that God will lay His hand of comfort upon you both and bring you a measure of peace in your troubled land. God is good, all the time. Sing His praises, sing them loud! It is in the worship that all of our transgressions and worries and needs and problems are given to, and addressed, by the wondrous Father of us all. God loves you and wants you to be happy. Accept that, claim that, and love each other as He loves you...unconditionally.

May God lay a blessing upon your heart and body today!
